Guides/Costs & limits

I want to cancel. What happens to my number and my data?

How to leave cleanly, what you can take with you, and how long the data survives. 3 min read

This guide exists on purpose. A service that hides its exit makes people hesitate at the entrance, and we would rather you knew exactly what happens before you decide.

How to cancel

Tell us by email at waco@idcloudhost.com from the account owner address. There is no convoluted form and no repeated retention offer. Your access continues until the period you have already paid for runs out, rather than stopping the day you write.

Do not cancel by simply not paying. That is the route that costs you most: the service is suspended on day 7, incoming WhatsApp messages stop, and on day 30 the data is deleted permanently before you have taken anything out. See service suspended.

Your WhatsApp number stays yours

The number was never ours. There are three directions you can take:

Your data: 30 days, then gone

After an account is closed, the entire conversation history, contacts, and media are kept for 30 days as a grace period. After that the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. That figure is in the terms of service, not a policy that can change quietly.

So take what you need before closing the account, while everything is still there:

Have paid time remaining, or an unused AI Operator top-up? Say so when you write. We do not quietly let it lapse.

If the reason is cost, just say so

Some people leave not because the service does not suit them but because business is slow. If that is the situation, tell us before closing the account. Pausing is often more sensible than closing and rebuilding everything a few months later, and that conversation is far cheaper for both of us than you losing your customer history.
