Guides/Number & account
Meta is asking for business verification, what documents do I need?
Registration, domain, and email: the checklist that gets verification through quickly.
2 min read
Business verification is Meta checking that your business is real. Without it your number still works, but it is capped at 250 new contacts a day. Once you pass, the cap rises in steps until it is effectively unlimited.
What to prepare
- Official business registration documents for your jurisdiction, meaning whatever your government issues to prove a company or sole trader exists. If your business does not have this yet, it is the slowest part, so start there.
- A website on your own domain. The name on the website has to match the name on the registration. A simple page is enough, as long as the domain belongs to you, not an Instagram page or a free blog subdomain.
- An email address on that domain, for example
admin@yourclinic.com. Meta sends a verification code to it, and a free webmail address cannot be used for this step. - An office phone number that appears on the website and can be answered.
What causes most failures
A name mismatch. The name in Business Manager, on your registration, and on your website all have to point at the same legal entity. "Bright Dental" on the website but "Bright Holdings Ltd" on the registration, with the clinic name mentioned nowhere, is a recipe for rejection. Put both on the website.
You do not have to wait. The system is fully usable while verification is in progress, and a business just starting out rarely touches the 250 contacts a day cap. Submit the application and then forget about it until you hear back.
